The WEB Project

WOMEN'S MINI-MARATHON 2011

The WEB Project, like many other Irish registered charities, has had to find additional ways of fundraising in today's challenging economic times. Grants are few and far between, but local needs are as great as ever. We are making a direct appeal for your support as without it we may be unable to maintain services at their present level.

We offer a range of programmes and activities, including publication of the WAG MAG, adult education, community development and a number of one-to-one services such as adult literacy tuition. We also have four Special Learning Groups for adults with intellectual disability and we are planning a week-long celebration(to take place in the last week of July) for these groups. Our special learners are working towards FETAC accreditation in many of their programmes and we feel all of their hard work deserves recognition and celebration.

In order to help fund our Disability Support and Community Development Programmes, WEB Project staff, volunteers and clients will be taking part in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon on Monday June 6th. We are asking for your support, either by helping us to raise sponsorship money, or by participating yourself in the event on our behalf. You can also donate on-line through this website.

Registration forms and sponsorship cards are available from the WEB Project - telephone 01-4952020 / 4957171 or call into us during office hours if you would like to make arrangements to join us for training.

TOM'S PARTY

The WEB Project was delighted to host a special celebration in Whitechurch Library for Tom's 74th birthday on July 6th. This included a performance of The Dancing Queen by Tom and his friends from the Disability Support Programme Special Learning Group. Refreshments, music and dancing followed by individual party pieces made for a very entertaining evening and a good time was had by all who attended.
